Ability Metal is constantly expanding our CNC turning capabilities. Currently, we have a range of two-axis CNC lathes, as well as highly advanced multi-spindle, eight-axis Swiss-style CNC lathes with the capability to turn workpieces at both ends. Our MORI SEIKI CNC turning machines are capable of turning workpieces up to 14 inches in diameter.

With these systems, complete machining is possible in a single cycle, due largely to an automated, no-touch spindle transfer process. The majority of CNC lathes we possess offer live tooling capabilities, making it possible to perform turning and milling tasks using only one lathe. This combination of turning and milling in a single device means that we can work with complex design specifications, geometries, and turns, and also enables us to incorporate a wide range of materials using just a single setup. Our manufacturing processes are subject to intensive quality checks to ensure that they meet the requirements of our customers. A series of quality checks are regularly performed on all production runs, including first piece and final inspections, as well as mid-production checks.
